Boerst, William J. Johannes Kepler Discovering the Laws of Celestial Motion. Greensboro, North Carolina: Morgan Reynolds Publishing, 2003. Print. This book provides me with important dates that will help me create my timeline on Johannes Kepler. This book also helped me further understand Kepler’s three laws of planetary motion.
Case Western Reserve University. Case Western Reserve U, 11 Jan. 2006. Web. 15 Apr. 2012. <http://burro.cwru.edu/stu/advanced/pre20th_europe_tychokepler.html>. This webpage discussed the relationship between Johannes Kepler and Tycho Brahe.
“COPERNICAN UNIVERSE, circa 1958: An artist’s impression of the future of space travel: a ‘Lunar Liner’ designed to transport people to and from the moon, Heading for Space, Space Travellers, New York City, New York, Portrait of Astronomer Tycho Brahe, Johannes Kepler monument Austria, Planet Mars from Space, Johannes Kepler and Tycho Brahe, The Orbit of Mars 1609, Johannes Kepler (1571.” Britannica Image Quest. N.p., n.d. Web. 9 Apr. 2012. All these images that I found in Britannica Image Quest will help he when I create my Website about Johannes Kepler and how he reflected the Renaissance.
Copernicus, Nicholaus. COPERNICAN UNIVERSE. N.d. Britannica Image Quest. This image was found on Britannica and is from the book that Copernicus wrote “De Revolutionibus Orbium Coelestium” shows the heliocentric model that Kepler supported with mathematics.
Copernicus, Nicolaus. Nicolaus Copernicus’s 1543 book. N.d. Drawing. This image of Nicolaus Copernicus’s 1543 book was found on Britannica Image Quest. This image will help me show the book that Michael Mastrin lent Kepler.
Findlen, Paula. “Kepler, Johannes.” World Book Advanced. World Book, 2012. Web. 5 Mar. 2012. Kepler could be classified as an unsung hero, without the laws he discovered Isaac Newton would never have come to his conclusion about the law of gravity. He also discovered that planets orbits are elliptical, not circular. But to connect to the Renaissance, He was a Lutheranist and he observed planetary monition.
Johannes Kepler and Tycho Brahe. N.d. Science Photo Library. Britannica Image Quest, n.d. Web. 29 Mar. 2012. <http://www.sciencephoto.com>. This image of Tycho Brahe and Johannes Kepler shows them discussing their planetary observations. This image will help me explain Johannes Kepler’s study of the Martian Orbit.
Johannes Kepler (1571-1630) astronomer. N.d. Portrait. Britannica Image Quest. This image will help me display an portrait of Johannes Kepler. The German astronomer who lived during the Renaissance.
Johannes Kepler’s simplified version of the Law of Periods. N.d. Personal photograph by author. This simple self made image showed a simple equation, T to the second power equals a to the third power.
Kepler’s Law of Areas. N.d. Personal photograph by author. This self made image, made on Goolge Docs, shows one of Kepler’s three laws, the Law of Area.
Kepler’s Law of Orbits. N.d. Personal photograph by author. This self made image, made on Google Doc shows Johannes Kepler’s law of Planetary orbit, shows a planets elliptical orbit and its two Foci.

Kepler’s Mars Orbit Drawing. between 1571 and 1630. Drawing. Britannica Image Quest. This image shows a drawing of Mars Orbit. This helps me explain Kepler’s extensive research of the Orbit of Mars.
Law of Periods. N.d. Kepler’s Laws. Georgia State U, n.d. Web. 10 Apr. 2012. <http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/kepler.html#c6>. This image portrays the complex version of his third law, the Law of Periods.
Smith, Ronald F. “Kepler, Johannes.” Great LIves from History: The Seventeenth Century. 2006. Salem History Web. Web. 5 Mar. 2012. Johannes Kepler was one of the greatest men in scientific history. He came form a terrible family but showed that you could overcome that and succeed. In his case, he created three new laws and almost discovered gravity. He came really close But, not close enough because Isaac Newton stole the spotlight when he discovered gravity with the help of Johannes Kepler’s laws.

Westman, Robert S. “Kepler, Johannes.” Encyclopedia Britannica. Encyclopedia Britannica Online School Edition, 2012. Web. 7 Mar. 2012. Johannes Kepler influenced many people during his lifetime. Most of his lives work involved writing books and proving the many theories right and wrong, and observing the wonders of space. But very few people could understand the complexity of the three laws on planetary motion that he discovered.
